Easy Pour Gel is our next generation “one part” urethane gel. The critical chemical balance needed to have a quality product is established during the manufacturing process, not at the job-site. Pour in a pre-measured container of Blue Activator, then thoroughly mix to initiate the cure. The tabs below contain additional information about the properties of Easy Pour Gel.

- @ 77F it is recommended to wait 48 hours before setting
- If the room’s ambient temperature is lowered, the cure time is extended.
- In order to set filters sooner, you must raise the room’s ambient temperature.
- 5 gallons are shipped in a 6 gallon plastic container with Blue Activator.
- Simply pour Blue Activator (16oz) into the container.
- Mix into gel until it is unformly blue.
- Mixing can be done using a variable speed hand drill with a high efficiency mix blade.
- Caution: If you use more or less Blue Activitor it will affect the softness of the final product.
- Other quantities requires different amounts of Blue Activator which come prepackaged.
- With the easy pour gel you don’t have to match lot numbers of gel and Blue Activator.
|An independent lab tested Easy Pour for its out gassing characteristics. The test were performed at 50C, per Intel protocols. We were pleased with the results, but you can judge for yourself. - The grid/gel track should be clean and dry before pouring gel. Some cleaning chemicals and alcohol may retard or prevent curing of the gel, thus no residues of these materials should be present.
- The use of acetone, naptha, or minerals spirits, is not recommended for cleaning purposes.
- When the “super clean” precedes the gel pour by 6 hours or less, it is advisable to use wipes with a high percentage of isopropyl alcohol, mainly for the grid.
- If there is any question, small section of grid should be tested prior to main installation.
- Regardless of the FAB protocol level, there may be periods when high particle counts are observed during gel pours. This particle counts are observed during gel pours. This particulate contamination is not desirable, but as long as the particles are of an inert nature, the gel will not be affected.
Tip: The caulking of joints in stick built grid should not precede the gel pour by more than 48 hours. Temperature variations can cause sealant failure, resulting in gel leaks.
